Moodle and
Online Classes
Moodle
Moodle is
BRTC's current online course management system:
All online, hybrid and
technologically enhanced courses will be offered on Moodle.
Many on-campus classes utilize Moodle to display students' current
grades, post syllabi and course documents, and provide an area for
students to talk outside of class. Determining your Moodle
username and password as well as helpful information about Moodle can
be located in the
Moodle area of the
Distance Education website.
Online Classes
Online classes, classes that are offered almost completely over the
internet, are not easier than on-campus classes. In fact,
they usually take more time. To see if online classes are for you
and for a list of required skills, visit the
DE requirements information on the DE website.
Hybrid Classes
Many instructors offer hybrid courses, courses that present at least 50%
of the course material online. Because of the online material, these
courses do not meet as frequently as traditional on-campus courses.
CVN Classes
A CVN course is held via compressed video. While students attend
classes on campus, the instructor may either be in the classroom or be
broadcast to students via television from a remote site.
